Have you ever heard of a restaurant called Chilibomb? I personally have eaten there twice already and cannot wait to go back again! Chilibomb is a locally famous restaurant in Fairfield, CT. This establishment is known for their 7 authentic types of chili; OMG!, Hellhound, Texas Peacemaker, Jack’s Chipotle, Sweet Potato, White Chicken, and the Cincinnati. However, they also offer burgers, salads, hot dogs, and kids’ meals if you’d rather eat that.
Chilibomb is famous for their 3 step chili creating experience. The steps are as followed: Step 1: Select your chili; Step 2: Select how or where you’d like it served over (i.e. spaghetti, corn bread, macaroni & cheese, brown rice, and more); Step 3: Select your cheese choice and 3 toppings “fixins” (i.e. chocolate chips, pumpkins seeds, croutons, Fritos, and all the other “normal” ingredients.)
This quaint restaurant, which seats only approximately 25 people, is worth the trip! According to the owner, Pete, all chili is made on the premises, gluten free, cooked daily from real beef (unless you are eating the vegetarian kind), and is made from scratch! In order to figure out which of the 7 authentic flavored chilis you want for lunch or dinner, you have the option to sample the chili types. Unfortunately, all except for the OMG! is available to sample because of the extreme and intense flavor.
The restaurant is both clean and very tidy. All staff members greeted my sons and I with warm smiles and a pleasant “Hello.” The friendly natured members make your experience that much more rewarding and memorable.
Have I peeked your interest yet? I highly recommend if you’re a chili lover to take the Chilibomb Challenge!! So, go grab a bowl, quart, or even gallon of one of the best chili restaurants here in Connecticut! Chilibomb isn’t award-winning for nothing! If my short restaurant review is still unbelievable to you then why don’t you visit their website.
